Working with email templates

In Volunteer Plus there are a number of email templates available, all of which can be customised with the content of your choice.

The available templates are:

New Volunteer

A welcome email sent to new volunteers who register online.

New Organisation

A welcome email sent to new organisations who register online.

New Opportunity

Email to an organisation when a new opportunity is submitted.

New Enquiry (Volunteer)

Email a volunteer when a volunteer registers their interest in an opportunity.

New Enquiry (Organisation)

Email to notify an organisation when a volunteer registers their interest in an opportunity.

This email is only sent when Who should receive enquiries from volunteers? is set to Organisation
.

New Enquiry (Organisation Contact)

Email to the enquiries contact for an opportunity when a volunteer registers their interest in an opportunity.

This email is sent to the contact selected for the Who should receive enquiries from volunteers? field.

New Referral (Volunteer)

The email template for the message when a referral is sent to a volunteer.

New Referral (Volunteer)

This is sent when the Who should receive referrals? field for an opportunity is set to a specific contact. 

New Referral (Organisation)

The email template for the message when a referral is sent to the organisation. 

Updating an email template

To update a template, go to Settings > Email Templates and select the template you wish to update.

The body of an email template can include template tags – this enables you to personalise an email template.

A template can be Active or Inactive. Only Active templates can be used in Volunteer Plus, when Inactive the template can’t be used.
