Tasks

By using tasks you can set a reminder for yourself or a colleague, relating to a Volunteer, Organisation, Opportunity or Enquiry. A task can be anything, something as simple as reminder to telephone a volunteer or update an opportunity.

How do I create a task?

To add a task either:

  • Go to the record (Volunteer, Organisation, Opportunity or Enquiry) which you wish to create a task for
  • Go to the Tasks section (Tick in the menu)

Then click Add Task and complete the fields:

  • Task: the title of the task
  • Description: further details on the task
  • Due Date: when does the task need to be completed by?
  • Due Time: what time on the due date does the task need to be completed by? This field is optional.
  • Assigned to: if you are an admin user you can assign the task to another user. When assigned the user would receive an email to notify them of the task.

Click Save

Where can I see my tasks?

  • From the Tasks section you can see all of the tasks assigned to you in one place.
  • From the record (Volunteer, Organisation, Opportunity or Enquiry) any tasks assigned to you will be displayed.

How do I complete a task?

To mark a task as completed simply click the checkbox to the left of the task name.

Where can I see my completed tasks?

From the Tasks section click Your Completed Tasks. All of the tasks you have previously completed will be listed here.

Where can I see tasks I have created for other users?

From the Tasks section click Tasks for Other Users. All of the tasks you have created for other users will be listed here.

I can't edit or delete a task

You can only edit or delete the tasks you have created.

Will be reminded about my tasks?

You will receive an email 3 days before the due date and on the day the task is due for every task assigned to you.

If a task is completed before the due date you will not receive any email reminders.
